Cover bands for hire on the Costa Blanca: Royal Band and Rock Beat
Two bands with different characters and a third in reserve. They arrive with their own sound, lighting and engineer.
Team5 brings live cover bands to weddings, birthdays, corporate events and venues across Spain. We work with three line-ups, and each one arrives with the full technical kit: you don’t need to find sound and lighting separately. You can book either band with us in English, Spanish, Ukrainian or Russian.
Royal Band: international hits
Vocals, guitar, bass, drums and keys. The set is built on international hits from several decades: soul, pop, rock and dance classics, the music that gets the whole room up whatever their age or language.
- International classics: Sade, Tina Turner, soul and pop standards;
- Current hits;
- Spanish songs when there are local guests;
- Your must-play songs, if you send the list in advance.
Three live recordings with no studio polish: Sade, Tina Turner, “The Best” and Alice Merton, “No Roots”.
Rock Beat: rock and pop-rock
A Spanish band playing rock and pop-rock live. The choice for people who want energy rather than background music.
- Rock classics every generation knows;
- Pop-rock for the dance floor;
- Spanish rock, their strong suit: local guests react to it especially well;
- English-language classics of the genre;
- Your must-play songs.
We can send you videos of Rock Beat on request.
Which one to choose
- Royal Band for a mixed room with guests of very different ages;
- Rock Beat if the crowd is younger, wants rock, or includes many Spanish guests;
- Soloists, duo or trio for the ceremony, drinks or rooms where a full band won’t fit.
Not sure? Tell us about your guests and we’ll advise.

Live music for bars and restaurants
Royal Band plays regularly at The Abbey Tavern, an Irish pub with a big garden in Orihuela Costa, a few minutes from Torrevieja, to a mostly British crowd who know these songs by heart. A one-off gig can go well by luck; a regular slot tests consistency: the same sound quality every night, a set that holds the room until closing, and equipment that doesn’t let you down on a damp night by the sea.
In a pub the band competes with the conversation at the tables. Too quiet and the terrace chatter drowns it out; too loud and people leave because they can’t hear each other. The right level is found on the night, by ear, once the place has filled up. If you run a bar or restaurant and want regular live music, get in touch.
The kit comes with the band
- Sound sized to the room or open-air space;
- Stage and architectural lighting;
- Stage and screen if needed;
- Microphones for the ceremony, speeches and host;
- Set-up, tuning and a sound engineer all evening;
- Pack-down and removal afterwards.

Where our cover bands can play
Royal Band and Rock Beat set off from Alicante and play all over Spain, as well as in the south of France, at distances of up to around 700 km.
- Nearby gigs, where travel makes little difference to the price: Alicante itself, Elche (25 km), Benidorm (45 km), Torrevieja (50 km) and Calpe (65 km);
- Medium distance, an ordinary trip for the band: Murcia (80 km), Cartagena (110 km), Denia and Jávea (90 km) and Valencia (180 km);
- Further afield, planned well ahead, with an overnight stay for the band: Madrid (420 km), Barcelona and Marbella (530 km), Málaga (500 km).
Booking Royal Band or Rock Beat, step by step
- Start by giving us the date, the town and venue, an approximate guest count and the format you’d like;
- We look at which dates the bands have free and come back to you on the same day with availability and a quote;
- We look into the venue’s power, its volume limits, the set-up window and the access route, and phone the venue ourselves if needed;
- Your date is confirmed;
- A few weeks before, we work through the setlist with you: the songs that have to be played and the timings;
- On the day of the gig, the band gets there early, sets up and soundchecks before the guests arrive;
- Afterwards the band packs everything down and takes it all away; there’s no clearing up on your side.
To book the band, send us the date and the town, and we will tell you whether the date is free.
