Wedding Band in Málaga: Live Music, Sound and Lights
A wedding band or soloists for weddings, milestone parties and company events, with sound, lights and stage of our own. A far trip that we plan ahead.
A wedding band for Málaga travels about 500 km from Alicante, one of our far destinations, so we plan every trip here early. The upside is one crew arriving with the band, the audio, the lights and, where required, staging and a screen, rather than a collection of different suppliers.
Live bands for weddings and parties in Málaga
Around 10% of the whole Ukrainian community in Spain lives in the province of Málaga, just behind Valencia (11%). Only Alicante, Madrid (13%) and Barcelona (12%) have a larger share. The Costa del Sol is also one of the most international regions of the country, with Ukrainian, British, Scandinavian and Arab communities side by side. A wedding hall here is almost always multilingual, so the music should be too. Couples who prefer English can plan everything with us in that language.
The drive from Alicante: about 500 km
Expect roughly five hours on the road. Here is how such a trip is organised:
- The equipment is loaded the evening before;
- The crew travels with an overnight stay, instead of turning up a few hours before the first song;
- The date is held as a block and not just for the evening;
- If your date is already close, send it to us: the diary decides whether the trip is possible.
If the date is already near, message us, and we will answer truthfully whether it is realistic. The line-up that plays on the Costa Blanca is the one that comes to Málaga, with the same kit.
Guests flying in: Málaga airport helps
Málaga has one of the biggest airports in Spain, with direct links to dozens of European cities. If some of your guests are flying from Poland, Germany, Britain or elsewhere, getting here is often simpler and cheaper than getting to the Costa Blanca. For a large wedding with international guests, that is a real argument for choosing Málaga as the location.
Wedding venues in Málaga and the surrounding area
- Valtari: a finca complex in Alhaurin de la Torre, only ten minutes from Málaga;
- Los Jardines de El Cortijuelo: a century-old estate with its own chapel, a wine cellar and guest halls;
- Hacienda las Fuentes: a turnkey venue with its own event support;
- Finca Jardines de las Tinajas: a finca with a large garden area;
- Cortijos: dozens of traditional Andalusian estates across the province.
An Andalusian cortijo usually means whitewashed walls, an inner courtyard and a big garden. It is a beautiful format, but like any old estate it needs its electricity checked before the day.

Feria de Málaga in August
For one week in August the city celebrates the Feria de Málaga, one of the biggest city festivals in Andalusia. The centre is full day and night, hotels cost several times more and traffic is difficult. If your date lands in that week, pick a venue outside the city: the province has plenty of cortijos and getting there is easier. August is also the hottest month in Andalusia, and an outdoor daytime programme becomes a trial for the guests.
Who can play at your event in Málaga
- Royal Band brings crowd-pleasers from around the world and a full programme through dinner and into the dancing;
- Rock Beat is there if your crowd leans towards rock and pop-rock;
- Solo musicians, whether a violinist, a saxophonist or a vocalist, to suit the vows, the aperitif or the meal;
- A duo or trio, often a smarter option than a full line-up on a long trip;
- An MC who runs the evening in Ukrainian or Russian and can switch to Spanish, but does not host in English.
Samples of both bands are on the cover bands page. We shape the programme differently for a wedding, a milestone birthday, a corporate event or a wedding anniversary.
Our own sound and lighting come with the band
Our kit comes in the same vehicles as the musicians: a system matched to the hall or garden, microphones for the ceremony and the toasts, scenic and architectural lighting, and an engineer who stays to the end, with staging and a screen added if required. What sound, lighting and stage hire includes goes through every item in detail.
When to celebrate in Málaga
- April to June: Andalusia warms up earlier than the Costa Blanca, so the season starts earlier;
- July and August: the hottest months plus the Feria, so evening only and preferably outside the city;
- September and October: the months we like best, when the heat has gone and evenings are warm;
- November to March: the Costa del Sol has a milder winter than most of Spain, but it is still cool for an evening garden.
How the price of a Málaga booking is built
No honest figure per evening exists before we see the venue. The total depends on the following:
- The musicians, from one soloist to the full band, the biggest cost of all;
- The kit: sound alone, or sound together with lighting, staging and a screen;
- The venue type, since a hall costs less than a garden lit from nothing;
- The guest count, which decides how much power is needed;
- The duration, from a two-hour dinner to a night of dancing;
- Travel: 500 km, about five hours, with the crew overnighting;
- Electricity, with a generator added if the venue is short.
Mistakes that catch people out in Málaga
The big local one is landing on the August Feria week, when the city is packed and moving equipment is hard. The rest are universal: no early load-in agreed, no plan for wet weather, music left out of the budget until after the deposit and nobody accountable for the sound. At cortijos we ask how much spare power exists, what the volume limit is and until when, when we may start the build, where the van may stop to unload and what the rain plan is. Share your shortlist of venues before you pay any deposit, and the guide how to choose an event venue helps with the rest.
How to book live music in Málaga
A WhatsApp message or a call is enough: the date, the venue, how many guests and the format. You learn immediately whether the date is open; we then suggest a line-up that fits a long trip and cost the kit with the travel built in. The event planning checklist shows what to do half a year, a month and a week before. Next door on the coast, we also cover Marbella, and the whole map is on the cities page.
