Wedding Band and Live Musicians in Madrid
A wedding band, violin or sax for a wedding, an anniversary or a company party, with our own audio, lights and staging. A long trip that we plan ahead.
A wedding band for Madrid has to come a long way from Alicante, our home base, so the crew travels the day before. What arrives is one coordinated crew: a cover band or a soloist, plus our own speakers, lights and, when required, a stage and screens. We hold the whole programme in our own hands, so you do not have to match a band from the coast with a rental firm that has never heard it.
Live bands and soloists for Madrid events
Around 13% of all Ukrainians in Spain live in Madrid, which puts the capital in second place nationally and slightly ahead of Barcelona at 12%. The capital’s community differs from the coastal one: more people came here to work than for the lifestyle, there are more corporate stories and more mixed families. At a Madrid wedding or anniversary the guest list is often half Spanish-speaking, which is why we build a bilingual programme.
How far is Madrid from Alicante
It is about 420 km, roughly four hours on the A-31 and then the A-3. A trip of this size works like this:
- Loading happens the day before, so the van leaves with room to spare;
- The crew arrives early, often staying overnight, so the build is never rushed after four hours on the road;
- We reserve your whole date, not just a handful of evening hours;
- Whether a Madrid trip works for a close date is down to the diary: send the date and we check it.
With a date coming up soon, send a message and we will say frankly if it is feasible. The same band plays with the same equipment as on the coast.
The best time of year for a party in Madrid
This is the most important practical difference, and people often forget it when they plan by Costa Blanca habits. Madrid lies inland at about 650 metres, and the climate is continental: hotter in summer and clearly colder in winter than by the sea.
- July and August: real heat, and the city traditionally empties as many locals leave and some venues work reduced hours. A daytime event outdoors is practically impossible, so only late evening works;
- May and June: a lovely time for a finca garden;
- September and October: we think this is the best window, because the heat has eased, the evenings are still mild and the city is busy again;
- November to March: properly cold, with frosty evenings, so an indoor hall only and no open garden.
If you are used to a coast where April is already warm and November still comfortable, those rules do not apply in Madrid.
Wedding and banquet venues in and around Madrid
- Finca Solimpar: only 8 km from Puerta del Sol, with spacious gardens for a ceremony and a welcome drink;
- Finca El Gasco: in a natural park on the Guadarrama river at Torrelodones, twenty minutes from the city;
- La Quinta de Illescas: its own chapel for the ceremony, cocktail gardens and large halls;
- El Mirador de Cuatro Vientos: a complex of halls with garden areas that takes up to 2,000 people;
- Luxury hotels: private gardens for an outdoor ceremony, halls, and rooftop terraces overlooking the city and the Royal Palace.
The choice in Madrid is wider than anywhere else in Spain, from a rustic finca outside the city to a roof terrace in the centre. We pick the technical solution for the exact type.

Rooftop terraces: a special technical case
Panoramic rooftops look spectacular, but they are the hardest venue type of all:
- Equipment goes up by lift, usually in more than one trip, so installation takes visibly longer;
- There are limits on weight and on fixings;
- Volume rules are the strictest, with homes all around, so the programme usually finishes earlier;
- The wind is stronger at height than on the street;
- We bring a more compact set, because a full band with big lighting simply does not fit.
For a terrace we more often recommend a duo or trio with tidy sound. It sounds great, and the limits of the venue do not hurt the quality.
Corporate events and other occasions
In the capital the most common enquiry is a corporate event: a company evening with a Ukrainian team or with partners. We also play weddings, anniversaries and big family parties, and we supply the full set of stage and screen for concerts and public events. For wedding line-up ideas, read our guide to choosing wedding music; a worked example of full technical cover is the wedding near Girona.
Who we can send to Madrid
- Royal Band for world hits, with a full set that carries the banquet through to the dancing;
- Rock Beat, which covers rock and pop-rock;
- Soloists on violin or saxophone, or a vocalist, for the ceremony, the drinks reception or the dinner;
- A duo or trio, the best option for a long trip and for terraces;
- A presenter (MC) who hosts in Ukrainian and Russian, switching to Spanish when needed. There is no English-language MC.
Our own sound and lighting travel with the musicians
The whole kit is ours and goes with the band. It covers a sound system sized to the room, scenic and architectural lighting, microphones for the vows and the toasts, an engineer on site all night, and a stage with screens when you want them. On a long trip that is the main saving in effort. Each item is listed in what sound and lighting hire includes; if you only need the kit, the sound and lighting hire page covers renting it separately.
What changes the cost of a Madrid booking
We never quote one figure per evening before we know the venue. The things that move the total are these:
- The line-up: a single soloist costs far less than the whole band, so this is the biggest part of the price;
- How much equipment, whether just sound or sound together with lights, staging and screens;
- The venue: an indoor hall is cheaper than an unlit open garden;
- The guest count, which decides the power of the system;
- The length of the programme, from a two-hour dinner to a full dance evening;
- Travel: 420 km, about four hours, with the crew staying overnight;
- Electricity, with a generator added where the venue has too little.
Common planning mistakes in Madrid
The classic one is planning the season by coastal standards, when the winter is far colder inland. Others repeat everywhere: asking about load-in time only after signing, having no rain plan, pricing the music only after the venue deposit, and leaving nobody responsible for the final sound. Before departure we pin down spare power, any volume cap and its cut-off hour, the load-in time, the vehicle’s route and unloading spot, and the plan for wet weather. Still comparing places? Tell us your shortlist before any deposit changes hands; choosing an event venue explains what to ask.

Frequently asked questions
How far is Madrid from Alicante?
About 420 km, roughly four hours on the A-31 and A-3. The crew arrives early and often stays overnight.
Can I book a band for Madrid at short notice?
That comes down to how busy the crew is on your date. Message us the date, and we will check it and tell you honestly whether it can be done.
Can you play on a rooftop terrace?
Yes, but it is the hardest format, with a lift for the kit and limits on weight and volume. For terraces we recommend a duo or trio with compact sound.
How is Madrid weather different from the coast?
The climate is continental and the city stands at about 650 m, so summer is hotter and winter clearly colder. In winter an open garden is out and you need a hall.
Why avoid August for a Madrid party?
The heat comes with the traditional holiday period, when the city empties and some venues run reduced hours. September and October are far more comfortable.
Is English fine for planning?
Yes, you can plan with us in English, and we also handle Spanish, Ukrainian and Russian. Hosting is done in Ukrainian or Russian, with Spanish added if the room needs it; there is no English-language MC.
Is Ukrainian music in the repertoire?
Yes, Ukrainian songs are part of the set next to international and Spanish numbers. The songs you must have are agreed with you beforehand.
