Wedding Band and Live Music in Murcia
A wedding band and soloists for weddings, milestone birthdays and company evenings, backed by our own audio, lights and staging. About an hour by road from Alicante, where we are based.
A wedding band in Murcia usually plays at a big country finca among orchards, since celebrations here traditionally happen on a grand scale and in the open air. The region is about 80 km from our base in Alicante, roughly an hour along the A-7. A cover band or a soloist arrives with our own equipment, which leaves you talking to a single team rather than several suppliers.
Live music in the Region of Murcia
Murcia is already a different region. Formally it is not part of the Valencian Community but its own autonomous community, with its own capital, administration and municipal rules. In practice, the rules on volume, finishing times and permits may differ from what people are used to on the Costa Blanca. We work here regularly and allow for those differences in advance, so you only need to tell us the venue.
The drive from Alicante to Murcia
It is around 80 km, about an hour on the A-7. That is a proper trip but not a far one: we load up in the morning, and the crew reaches the site with plenty of time to build. The road is listed as its own line in the quote, though it moves the total far less than the venue type and the size of the kit. In short, you get an hour’s drive, a full set of kit, and musicians who handle both a Ukrainian and a Spanish programme.
Wedding and banquet venues in Murcia
The region is known for country fincas set in the famous Murcian huerta, a fertile valley of gardens:
- El Casón de la Vega: a finca of over 100,000 square metres on the edge of Santomera;
- El Parque de La Marquesa: a 19th-century manor house among more than two thousand palm trees;
- Finca Jurosa: a venue for personalised celebrations;
- Torre Antoñita: a finca with character, aimed squarely at outdoor weddings;
- Finca Buenavista in El Palmar: with a big open area;
- Salones Kairos: in the Ricote valley, between Archena and Lorqui;
- Salon Aquario in Torre-Pacheco: one of the most experienced banquet halls in the region;
- Cuarentaytres: a panoramic spot at Cartagena’s port that looks out through 270 degrees.

Cartagena and the Mar Menor coast
Cartagena is the region’s second city, around 50 km from Murcia, with a port and panoramic spots over the water. We travel there, see our Cartagena page, and we also work in the Mar Menor resort zone. Coastal venues in the region share the usual Costa Calida traits: sea wind and evening damp, so we leave a margin of power in the sound and protect the equipment.
Who can play at your event in Murcia
- Royal Band: global favourites, with enough material for the banquet and for the dancing after it;
- Rock Beat: rock and pop-rock in Spanish, along with classics in English;
- Soloists on violin, sax or vocals, who can open with the vows or stay on for the welcome drinks and dinner;
- A duo or trio, if a full line-up would be too large for the hall or the budget;
- A host (MC) for evenings in Ukrainian or Russian; Spanish is possible too, and English is not offered.
Videos of Royal Band and Rock Beat are on the cover bands page. English-speaking couples can do all the planning in English with us.
Sound, lighting and stage are part of the trip
The kit that comes with the trip is a sound system matched to the hall or open ground, microphones for the ceremony, the speeches and the host, scenic and architectural lighting, and installation, tuning and an engineer for the whole evening. Staging and a screen can be added whenever the event needs them.
For big country fincas this is especially useful, because a garden has neither lighting nor sound ready, and everything is built from nothing. Each item is explained in our guide to what sound, lighting and stage hire includes.
Spring in Murcia and the Fiestas de Primavera
Right after Easter, Murcia celebrates the Fiestas de Primavera for a week, and the main event is the Bando de la Huerta, a festival honouring the Murcian huerta with traditional costume, processions and street parties across the city. If your date falls that week:
- Venues in and near the city are booked long in advance;
- Traffic in the centre is restricted, so the lorry’s approach needs separate planning;
- Hotels for your guests cost more and fill quickly;
- A country finca is calmer in those days than a venue within the city.
Which occasions we cover
- Weddings: an outdoor ceremony, drinks, the banquet, the first dance and dancing late;
- Birthdays, milestone ones included, shaped around the tastes of the guest of honour;
- Corporate evenings, from a company dinner to an event for several hundred;
- Anniversaries and smaller family gatherings;
- Open-air events that call for a stage and a screen as well.
For a worked example of full technical cover, read the wedding near Girona case.
Choosing a repertoire
One pattern holds along the whole coast: world hits form the backbone of the evening, Ukrainian songs are saved for the first dance, the toasts and the peak of the night, and Spanish numbers take over late at night when the entire room is up. The playlist is agreed in advance, and any must-play songs come from you.
The best months in Murcia
- April to June: the best time for a garden, though the Fiestas de Primavera week needs separate thought;
- July and August: hotter than the coast, because the city lies inland and a daytime programme is hard, so evening only;
- September and October: the best option as we see it, with cooler days, warm evenings and more venues free;
- November to March: cool for an open finca, and a hall wins.
Questions to put to the venue before you sign
- How much free electrical power is there, and is a generator needed, the main question for a large finca;
- Is there a volume limit under local rules, and until what hour;
- When can we come in to build;
- How does the lorry get in, and where can it unload;
- What is planned if it rains;
- Is there lighting in the garden, and will it last through the evening;
- Is there a room for the musicians.
Give us the venue name before any deposit is paid. A single phone call settles the technical conditions, which is cheaper than fixing them on the day. For more, read how to choose an event venue.
Booking live music for Murcia
Message us on WhatsApp or ring. Tell us the date, the name of the finca or hall, the guest numbers and what kind of day it is. We suggest a line-up, price the equipment together with the trip and hold your date. A Murcia job takes the crew and the kit for the whole day, so whether your Saturday is free is something we check in the diary as soon as you write.
What changes the price in Murcia
We do not name a flat figure for an evening before seeing the place. Several things move the quote: the line-up, how much kit is needed, what kind of venue it is, how many guests come, how long we play, the 80 km drive on the A-7, and electricity, where a generator is added if the site is short of power. The line-up is always the largest item, and a duo or trio costs less than a full band.
Beyond Murcia we cover Torrevieja, Elche and Valencia, and travel as far as the south of France.
Frequently asked questions
How far is Murcia from Alicante?
About 80 km, roughly an hour on the A-7. It is a normal working trip, and the travel appears on its own line of the quote.
Do you travel to Cartagena and the Mar Menor?
Yes. Cartagena is about 50 km from Murcia, and we work there and in the Mar Menor resort zone.
Is there enough power at a country finca?
Not always. We look at it first, and a generator comes along when spare power is scarce.
Can we plan in English?
Yes, English is among the languages we use, with Spanish, Ukrainian and Russian. The MC takes the evening in Ukrainian or Russian, can add Spanish, and does not host in English.
Are Ukrainian songs included?
Yes. World hits come first, Ukrainian and Spanish songs follow, and you tell us which numbers are essential.
Can I hire just a violinist or a saxophonist?
Yes. Soloists can be booked on their own for the ceremony, the reception or a dinner.
What about dates during the Fiestas de Primavera?
The week after Easter the city holds the Bando de la Huerta, with restricted traffic, busy venues and dearer hotels. A country finca is calmer in those days.
